Sandy Bridge I5 Will Have Only 4 Thread

Intel will release the Core 2 processor i5 Sandy Bridge and will only be equipped with four thread without the help of Hyper-Threading.

Like the previous generation, Intel Core i5 is only limited to 4 Threads, either Pure or 2 of the 4 Core Core + HT. 2 versions to be launched by Intel is the Core i5 i5 2400 and 2500. I5 2500 is the highest version of the family I5 Sandy Bridge and located just below the Core i7 equipped HT 2600.

I5 itself will be raised in 2 versions by Intel, the 2500 regular Core and Core i5 i5 2500K. Both have the same clock speed of 3.3GHz, 6MB L3 Cache. and Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz. The second difference lies in the processor that there is Unlocked Multiplier on the version of "K".

Graphic on the i5 Core Clock is 850MHz and 1100MHz default when the Turbo Boost active graphics, and is still lower than the Turbo Graphic on Core i7 which reached 1350MHz. I5 2500 TDP is 95W, and did not rule out Intel will release a version more efficient power (with the suffix S (65W) / T (45W)) of this processor. Intel will be launching two processors in early 2011, more precisely in Q1 2011.
