May 15th 2012, 07:10

Chinese PSU maker SAMA launched its energy-efficient 400W PSU, which it unveiled in April. The model is priced at 258 RMB (US $41), and available throughout mainland China. Although not conforming to 80 PLUS standards, the maker assures energy efficiency levels as high as 82%. This 400W PSU has sufficient cabling for a single graphics card gaming PC, including a 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, 6-pin and 8-pin PCI-Express power, three Molex, and six SATA power connectors. We know from the older report that the PSU utilizes a dual-forward switching topology, with high-efficiency PowerMOS instead of conventional transistors with half-bridge structure. The PSU includes active power factor correction, and various protective mechanisms. It is revealed that the 120 mm fan is made by Yate Loon Electronics. Source: Expreview
