Asetek to Highlight Latest CPU and GPU Innovations at CeBIT 2011

Asetek Inc., the world’s leading supplier of liquid cooling technology for computers, today announced it will demonstrate its latest innovations in CPU and graphics liquid cooling at CeBIT 2011, the world’s largest IT trade show. The Asetek booth (Reseller Pavilion, Hall 14, Stand J46) will feature computers running active demos showcasing:
  • The new WaterChill 2011C, Asetek’s best-ever, ultra-extreme liquid CPU cooler. Highlights include Asetek’s low profile pump with third-generation coldplate technology and advanced liquid temperature fan control, coupled with a massive 240mm x 120mm radiator and four 120mm PWM fans. The 2011C also includes the company’s newly-enhanced ChillControl performance monitoring, cooling control software.
  • Asetek’s latest GPU cooler delivers superior overclocking capability (up to 25% on the NVIDIA GTX 580) while drastically reducing GPU temperatures and fan noise at load. The new graphics cooler features a 120mm radiator and liquid temperature controlled fan along with a pump and coldplate integrated into the GTX 580, and will be launched in conjunction with a graphics card partner.

Corsair Announces First Shipments of Hydro Series H60


Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced shipments of the new Hydro Series H60 High-Performance Liquid CPU Cooler. The Hydro Series H60 brings remarkable new technologies to the CPU cooling market at an affordable price point. New features include:
  • A low-profile, light-weight cooling unit that reduces clutter around the CPU
  • A redesigned microchannel cold plate with a new fin design that dramatically increases the surface area of copper available for heat absorption
  • A new split-flow manifold that delivers coolant directly to the center of the cold plate — the warmest area of the CPU — significantly improving cooling efficiency
  • A custom-designed 120mm fan with very high static pressure, which allows for more cold air to be drawn through the radiator to vent heat from the cooling liquid

Prolimatech Unveil Genesis CPU-Cooler – the Origin of Maximum Cooling Power

Prolimatech, the master of cooling is going a step further after the success of the Prolimatech Megahalems by presenting another revolution in CPU cooling with the Prolimatech Genesis. Besides the immaculate quality - which is present across their entire product line-up - the Genesis sets new standards in cooling capability.

Prolimatech continues the trend set forth by the Megahalems and Super Mega by utilizing two separate towers, but instead of placing them next to each other, they have been rearranged for maximum performance. Scythe Announces Mine 2 CPU Cooler

Japanese cooling specialist Scythe hereby officially announces the launch the new high-end CPU Cooler Mine 2. The Mine 2 CPU Cooler is based on a twin cooler Layout. Eight copper heatpipes transport heat to two generously dimensioned cooling blocks. By placing the fan in between the 2 heatsink towers, intake as well as exhale airflows are optimized to provide high performance. Furthermore, the lower part of the installed fan is designed to cool the devices around the CPU socket, such as voltage regulators and RAM. The structure of the heat sink makes it possible to use a total of up to three fans by purchasing separately sold fan clips. In this manner, the air flow and thus the cooling capacity of the Mine 2 will be significantly increased by using the push / pull principle.

By default, the Mine 2 will be delivered with a centrally placed, adjustable 140 mm Slip Stream PWM & VR fan. Although the fan supports the PWM feature, the user can manually adjust the PWM bandwidth between 470 to 1,370 rpm and 740 to 1,900 rpm. Despite the changed bandwidth, the fan is still controlled by the PWM signal from the motherboard, allowing an individual but also dynamic fan control. Alternatively it is possible to disable the PWM function. Instead the fan can be controlled manually in a range of 500 to 1,700 rpm. This gives every user the option to optimize the Mine 2 CPU cooler for performance or low noise according to own preferences.

Sharkoon Announces Decoupling Frame for 2.5 and 3.5 Inch Hard Drives

Sharkoon introduces the new "Vibe Fixer" model to their hard drive decoupler series: The Sharkoon Vibe Fixer PRO is a wide adjustable, versatile standby adapter and decoupling frame for hard drives and SSDs in both 2.5 and 3.5 inch format and fits into either a 3.5 or 5.25 inch mounting bay. The smaller 2.5 inch drives can be mounted into either frame setting, the user has the freedom to choose the purpose of the remaining free PC slots.

The operating noise of rotary hard drives are effectively decoupled from the housing due to a total of eight rubber buffers positioned in the frame. Noctua Intros New AMD Opteron Coolers with G34 Support

Noctua today updated its DO line of CPU coolers for AMD Opteron based servers and workstations. The new NH-U12DO A3 and NH-U9DO A3 coolers come with two of Noctua's renowned premium quality fans, achieve further improved quiet cooling performance and support AMD's socket G34 platform.

Sunbeamtech Introduces Twister 120 CPU Cooler


The computer chassis and cooling accessory manufacturer, Sunbeamtech from Taiwan has just added a new product into their CPU cooler family, the Twister 120. In the never ending battle to tame the CPU heat, it is not possible to keep on increasing the size of the heatsink. Sunbeamtech took an innovative approach and came up with the ISO-Turbo Technology which incorporates 2 fans that are spinning in opposite direction. Compared to the traditional approach, the ISO-Turbo Technology provides higher airflow efficiency which translates to higher heat dissipation capability.

New Asetek Liquid CPU Coolers Support PCs with 92 mm Fans

Evercool Develops New Performance Low-Profile CPU Cooler

 Evercool added a new low-profile CPU cooler to its lineup, the HPL815-EP. Although a little diminutive, measuring 106 x 95 x 45 mm, weighing 320 g, the cooler supports all popular sockets, including LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA775, AM3/AM2+/AM2, including six-core Intel Core i7 980X, and AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. The design a CPU base in which four 8 mm thick copper heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU, conveying heat to a dense aluminum fin array that propagates along the plane of the motherboard, instead of perpendicular to it (like a common tower-type cooler). A 92 mm fan latches onto the heatsink using metal clips. The fan spins at 1,000~4,000 RPM. Evercool did not let out pricing details.

Zalman Intros CNPS5X CPU Cooler

Zalman announced its latest CPU cooler, the CNPS5X. Its design is a fusion between traditional tower-type and Zalman's own nested fan design heatsink. The CNPS5X is designed for medium-thru-heavy thermal loads, more like highly overclocked dual-core or mildly overclocked quad-core chips. The company excluded support for LGA1366 for this reason, but added support for Intel's upcoming LGA1155 socket. Other sockets supported include LGA1156, LGA775, and AM3/AM2+/AM2.
