AMD Roadmap 2011/2012


In today's Financial Analyst firm AMD's latest roadmap provides a plan that shows the release of several microprocessors in 2011 and 2012 as Fusion APU, bulldozers and more.

At the beginning of 2011 AMD will release Zacate (40nm) and Ontario (40nm) APU for temporary entry-level around mid-2011, we will see Llano (32nm), produced for mainstream PC and Zambezi (32nm) to "high-performance" processor.
Llano is an APU are packaged 2-4 'Stars' core and DirectX 11 GPU, while the Zambezi is packed with 4-8 'Bulldozer' core without integrated graphics equipped. Zambezi is the first processor based on the Bulldozer architecture.
In 2012 AMD will release a successor to all processors that have been mentioned above - Komodo will replace the Zambezi, Trinity replace Llano and Krishna replace Ontario and Zacate. Komodo and Trinity will be based on the Bulldozer architecture that has been improved in 32nm technology, while Krishna will use Bobcat architecture that has been updated and will be manufactured at the 28nm node.
